Stanley Lambchop is a normal, every day, run-of-the-mill kid. But one night while he’s sleeping, the bulletin board on the wall above his head comes loose and falls right on top of Stanley. The next morning he wakes up flat! Not just flat…but really flat! Stanley thinks it isn’t too bad at first because he can slide under doors, he’s the best at playing Hide-and-Seek and his friends can fly him as a kite, but finally Stanley decides to do something about his unusual condition.

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley will take the audience along with Stanley as he mails himself off in an envelope to travel the world in hopes of finding a solution to his very curious problem! The ultimate “exchange student” is stamped, posted, and cancelled from Washington D.C. to France to Honolulu and beyond. And whether he’s rapping with the Declaration of Independence, thwarting a robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris, or “hanging ten” off the coast of Hawaii, Stanley gets one step closer to his goal of being a three-dimensional boy once more.

Recommended for Pre K – Grade 5, ages 5 and up, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley includes Geography, Social Studies, English, Visual Arts, Character Education and Multicultural Studies. Author Jeff Brown was born in New York City. His books about the Lambchop family include Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Stanley’s Christmas Adventure, and the Flat Stanley picture book.
